How a small pension became a big hotel more
The Kaiserhof Kitzbühel hotel combines tradition and modern spirit. Hospitality has been the top priority in the owner’s family for several generations. The competence and hospitality of the Kaiserhof Team, the attentive service, perfect location and the delicious food and wines are especially appreciated by their guests. The house was built in Kitzbühel to the previous turn of the century and was originally a private villa. Due to its excellent location it was soon turned into a small bed and breakfast pension, called ›Montana‹.
Takeover by Dr. Ludwig and Mrs. Elisabeth Richard.
Pension Montana becomes a 4 Star Hotel with 37 rooms.
The hotel is leased to the hotel management company Ecotel.
The hotel property is taken over by Mrs. Andrea Hofer, daughter of Dr. Ludwig and Mrs. Elisabeth Richard. The ›Montana‹ is subject to a global renovation.
The Hotel Montana is renamed ›BEST WESTERN PREMIER Kaiserhof‹ in 2005, establishing a connection with the second hotel of the Hofer family - the traditional Hotel Kaiserhof in Vienna. The house now has 51 rooms and suites, an award-winning restaurant, spa facilities, a panoramic swimming pool and much more. The same year Christian Hofer assumes management.
Since 2005, the Kaiserhof Kitzbühel has been a member of the Best Western brand, which defines itself as a pure marketing alliance, but the hotel is still privately owned and operated by Mrs. Andrea Hofer and her son Christian Hofer.
The Hotel Pension Haselsberger – right next door – ris acquired by the Hofer family.
After total refurbishment the Kaiserhof is enlarged to 73 rooms and suites.
The property as well as the operating company are taken over by Mr. Christian Hofer.
The Kaiserhof Hotels leave the Best Western brand, carefully returning to their roots and establishing a new brand identity.
