Open-Air Museum Tyrolean Farms
Distance to the hotel: 48 km
The open-air museum of Tyrolean farms is located on an area of 8.5 hectares. Visitors can explore 37 historic farmsteads on the 3.2-kilometre-long circular trail. Just like in a real village, the farms, blacksmith's shop, village school, inn, mill and lumberjack's hut are spread over the hilly terrain.
The museum aims to show visitors how the farming population of Tyrol used to live and work. For children, there are special experience stations with exciting tasks, for example "How do you milk a cow?" or "How do you build a wooden house?". The museum shows changing exhibitions from different areas, but also a permanent exhibition on the topic of timber drift, the former transport of tree trunks on water.
